A year ago, Ollerton Bowls Club was in great danger of folding due to the lack of reliable machinery. All their machines were over 60 years old. A grant from the Nottinghamshire Miners Welfare Trust Fund payed for a reconditioned mower.
An additional donation of £1000.00 along with further generous donations from, Alwayz Travel, A.W.Lymn, The Tyre Shop, New Hill Fruit and Veg, J.R.Plant, Center Parcs, Key Building Supplies, Royale Mobility and The Healthy Feet Clinic all combined with some donations from members to allowed the club to purchase cassettes for the mower. These cassettes have allowed the club to take other machines out of commission and secured their near-term future.
The members expressed their deeply felt gratitude to The Nottinghamshire Miners Welfare Trust Fund for their grant which has achieved more then the club could have hoped for.
